About Karin Le Blanc

Hi. I am Karin Le Blanc.

I’m someone who wants to live life to the fullest.
To me, age is but a number.

In the past, I had jobs at a bank and a health insurance company.
But I wasn’t happy with my work.
It did not tick my boxes on matters I care deeply about.
Like helping people who are less fortunate in life health-wise.
That’s why for ten years now I have been a volunteer for a foundation that houses people with severe epilepsy.
These people live there and need constant support in their daily activities.
Every week I assist a group of people in a semi-professional kitchen.
For example, we make sausage rolls, quiches, apple pies, cookies, chocolate bonbons that we sell to raise money for fun trips.

As my health is very important to me, I enjoy spinning at the gym two times a week.
I live in a beautiful environment.
So when the weather is good, I like to go out and cycle on my Trek Bicycle around our countryside.

History is another passion of mine.
I especially like English history, pre- and post-Tudor times.
England is very dear to me, that’s why I’m glad my son moved there five years ago.
Lucky me, I have a good reason to visit England as much as possible.
There are so many historical places where you can experience and submerge yourself in the rich English history.
Why do I enjoy it so much?
For me, the English history has everything in it, love, passion, hate, war, betrayal, treason. Some of the most remarkable persons since the dawn of times came from England, who left both their positive and negative marks on history.

Thus, the English language plays a vital role in my life too.
I love reading in the English language, not surprisingly, historical books or great literature. For example, Jane Eyre is one of my favorite books of all times.
I love doing translations, no matter if it is from English to Dutch, or vice versa.

Of course, my family is the most important possession I have.
My two children flew out some years ago.
But I have never experienced the dreaded empty nest syndrome; I’m happy when they are happy and they are.
I love traveling together with my husband, and I’m fortunate to still have my mother of 84 in my life.
Spending time with family and friends is something we enjoy immensely.

My goal for life and business it to make a difference.
I appreciate different cultures and the value of hard work.
I understand that hard selling comes with many jobs, it’s not always a bad thing, but it’s never been something I am comfortable with.
